Idles Unveil Cover Of Sharon Van Etten's Peace Signs

Idles have shared their take on Sharon Van Etten's Peace Signs.
The powerful rendition finds the Bristol band putting their punky spin on things, though it doesn't deviate far from the rock-leaning original cut.
It'll feature as part of the American singer-songwriter's forthcoming 10th anniversary double LP edition of her sophomore record 'Epic', due out digitally on April 16 followed by a physical release on June 11 via Ba Da Bing.
Titled 'Epic TEN', the release comprises the original 'Epic' tracklist as well as a mirrored version of reworks by some of Van Etten's favourite acts. In addition to Idles, other artists on the album include Fiona Apple, Lucinda Williams, Courtney Barnett featuring Vagabon, Big Red Machine — the side project of The National's Aaron Dessner and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, Shamir and St. Panther.
A behind the scenes documentary about the making of 'Epic' will be screened during a livestream show by Van Etten and her band on April 16 and 17. Head here for details.
Idles, meanwhile, recently rescheduled their UK and Ireland shows to 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. They're also due to head out for an intimate Record Store Tour in April, subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
