The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra And James Morrison To Play New Park Proms Summer Festival

The first acts have been announced for the inaugural Park Proms.

The two-day music festival will take over Broadlands Estate in Romsey on the August bank holiday weekend.

Leading the bill on August 27 will be the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, with Pete Harrison conducting a 78-piece orchestra though a "Last night of the proms" style concert featuring a number of pieces from films such as Harry Potter, James Bond, Star Wars and Superman. Aled Jones, Laura Wright, Escala and The Travelling Hands will also take to the stage on the first night.

Topping the line up on August 28 will be James Morrison (pictured), who'll wrap up a night of British pop music following sets from Pixie Lott, Scouting For Girls,  Eliza and the Bear, and The Travelling Hands.

What? A  multi-genre, two-day outdoor festival with live music, plus food and drink from the local area and surrounding counties.

Where? Broadlands Estate in Romsey, Hampshire.

When? August 27 and 28.

Who? The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Aled Jones, Laura Wright, Escala and The Travelling Hands will all perform on the first day, with James Morrison, Pixie Lott, Scouting For Girls, Eliza and the Bear, and The Travelling Hands taking to the stage on day two. 

Tickets? Tickets are on sale now. Park Proms organisers advise customers that if the event cannot take place on advice from the government, their ticket will be rolled over to a new date in 2022, or customers can receive a refund. Click here to get your Park Proms tickets via Stereoboard.
