Manic Street Preachers Announce Free Summer Cardiff Show For Radio 2 Live, Push Back Album Release

Manic Street Preachers will play a free Cardiff show this summer as part of Radio 2 Live.
The gig will take place on August 12 at St David's Hall in the Welsh capital. According to the BBC Radio 2 Live website:
"Tickets will be allocated by random draw, with 95% of the tickets going to Cardiff postcodes* and 5% going to the rest of the UK.
"You can register at any time until 8am on Friday 30 July.
"You can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets. If you apply for more than one concert you will be allocated tickets for a maximum of one concert and these tickets will be non-transferable."
Also set to appear as part of the series celebrating the return of live music are Texas in Glasgow on August 5 and Steps in Manchester on August 10. More acts are still to be revealed, with registrations for tickets opening at 8am and closing 24 hours later.
Alongside news of the show, Manic Street Preachers have announced the release date for their new album ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament’ has been pushed back from September 3 to September 10, "due to a production issue relating to the global pandemic."
The Welsh band will support the record with a UK tour this autumn that includes their rescheduled Cardiff shows. They'll also play a huge London concert at the SSE Arena Wembley on December 3.
