Gang Of Youths have released In The Wake Of Your Leave.
The emotional cut marks the fifth preview of the Australian rockers' forthcoming LP, 'Angel In Realtime', due out on February 25.
Featuring backing harmonies from the Auckland Gospel Choir, and percussion by drummers from the Cook Islands, the track follows previous singles The Angel Of 8th Ave., Unison, The Man Himself and Tend The Garden.
"I wanted to reflect on how I became dependent on grief for solace and inspiration," frontman Dave Le'aupepe said of the song. "The cycle from numbness to acceptance to yearning plays a role in my approach to grieving my dad's death. As a result, most of the time, I feel a bit futile as a person."
The band's long-awaited third studio album reflects on the life and legacy of Le'aupepe’s late father. Their last full-length release was 2017's 'Go Farther In Lightness'.
Gang Of Youths will embark on a UK and European tour in support of 'Angel In Realtime' in March, followed by a North American trek in April and May. They also have an appearance at Glasgow's TRSMT festival in the diary for July 10.
