Julia Jacklin has shared a new track.

I Was Neon marks the second single from her upcoming third LP, 'Pre Pleasure', due out on August 26 via Transgressive Records. The Melbourne artist said in a statement:

"I first wrote I Was Neon for a band called Rattlesnack, a short-lived, much-loved 2019 side project that I played drums in. I rewrote it for my album in Montreal, during a time when I was desperately longing for a version of myself that I feared was gone forever. I was thinking of this song when I made the album cover, this song is the album cover really."

Head below to view the self-directed video for the indie-pop offering, which unfurls around a sharp, driving guitar riff and vocal harmonies. It'll be joined on the record by the lead single Lydia Wears A Cross, released back in May.

Jacklin will support the LP with a world tour, which includes UK and Ireland shows in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton and London in November. Tickets are on sale.
