The Mars Volta Announce Self-Titled New Album, Share New Single Vigil

The Mars Volta have announced their new album.
The highly anticipated follow-up to 2012's 'Noctourniquet' is a self-titled LP that's due to arrive on September 16 through Clouds Hill. It will feature their recent singles Graveyard Love and Blacklight Shine.
Alongside news of the record, the band have also shared a new track. Vigil is an experimental, yet melodic rock cut with a breezy tone that belies its sombre lyrics. Watch the video below, which was directed by the band's Omar Rodríguez López.
The Mars Volta will support the record with a fall North American tour, which kicks off with the first of two nights in Dallas on September 22 and concludes at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on October 23 with the last gig of a three-night run at the venue. Tickets are on sale now.
