Bloodstock Announce Thursday Line-Up, Confirm 10 More Bands For Sophie Lancaster Stage

Bloodstock have announced further bands for its 2023 line-up.

Headlining the Sophie Lancaster stage on Thursday night will be Skynd, following sets from Warkings, Frozen Soul, The Violent Inzident and Tribe Of Ghosts. 

Bands lined up for the Sophie Lancaster stage on Friday include Zetra, The Enigma Division, featuring former Xerath guitarist Conor McGouran. On Saturday, meanwhile, Tortured Demon, The Grey, Eyes, and Casket Feeder will perform. Sunday's line-up will feature Tuskar, Stengah and Overthrone.

They join main stage headliners Killswitch Engage, Meshuggah and Megadeth, while Helloween are also set to perform as special guests on the main stage on Sunday.

Earlier in 2022, festival organisers confirmed appearances from Sacred Reich, Heaven Shall Burn, Seething Akira, Crowbar, URNE, All Hail The Yeti, Dead Label, UUHAI, Brothers Of Metal, Gutalaz, Cobra The Impaler, Invisions, DevilDriver, In Flames, Anthrax, Sepultura, Ugly Kid Joe and more.

What? A multi-day festival that hosts some of the heaviest acts the rock and metal scene has to offer.

Where? Catton Park in Walton-On-Trent, Derbyshire.

When? August 10-13, 2023.

Who? The latest acts to be revealed for next year's Bloodstock are Thursday night Sophie Lancaster stage headliners Skynd, who will follow sets from Warkings, Frozen Soul, The Violent Inzident and Tribe Of Ghosts. Other acts confirmed for the Sophie Lancaster stage include Zetra, The Enigma Division, with former Xerath guitarist Conor McGouran, Tortured Demon, The Grey, Eyes, and Casket Feeder, Tuskar, Stengah and Overthrone.

Killswitch Engage, Meshuggah and Megadeth will headline the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively, with Helloween announced as special guests on Sunday. Also, previously confirmed for the weekend are Sacred Reich, Heaven Shall Burn, Seething Akira, Crowbar, URNE, All Hail The Yeti, Dead Label, UUHAI, Brothers Of Metal, Gutalaz, Cobra The Impaler, Invisions, DevilDriver, Sepultura, Ugly Kid Joe, Fit For An Autopsy, Knocked Loose, Decapitated, Gatecreeper, Zeal And Ardor, King 810, Unto Others, In Flames, Anthrax, Whitechapel, Nonpoint, Trollfest, Biohazard, and Church Of The Cosmic Skull. Over 150 bands will be confirmed for the event by the time it takes place next summer.

Organisers previously confirmed that their Metal 2 The Masses programme is in full swing, and this time has more locations involved (see poster below). If you’re a self-released or unsigned band, you have a chance of playing Bloodstock next summer. The final of the grass roots-focused competition will be held at the Lomljenje Metalom Open Air event in Croatia.
