GUM has shared a new single.

Music Is Bigger Than Hair is the latest track to be lifted from Pond's Jay Watson's new album, 'Saturnia', which is due for release on September 15. It features finger-picked acoustic guitar and rich string arrangements before the pace shifts just after the three-minute mark and things move into funkier territory. Introducing the song, he said:

"Music Is Bigger Than Hair is a funny title, I think it’s referring to me getting older and feeling my mortality a little bit more, or at least my worth as a musician being tied up in the way I look. Feeling like it’s affecting my music, as if it has anything to do with it. Musically it’s one of my favourites because of Jesse Kotanskys beautiful string arrangement.”

Watson has also previously shared the album cuts Would It Pain You To See? and Race To The Air. He'll support the LP with shows in Australia and the US in September and October, respectively.
