Gossip To Return With New Album 'Real Power' In March, Share New Single Crazy Again

Gossip are back with their first new music in 11 years.
Crazy Again is the first single to be released from their new album, 'Real Power'. It finds vocalist Beth Ditto delivering soft, high vocals, as opposed to her renowned unbridled, powerhouse approach, atop post-punk-leaning guitar and danceable beats.
Ditto said: “The song is about actually being in love and feeling so safe.” Head below to watch its accompanying video, directed by Ssion and shot in Kansas City.
The long-awaited follow-up to 2012's 'A Joyful Noise' will arrive on March 22 via Sony. It was produced by Rick Rubin, who also helmed the band's 2009 LP 'Music for Men'. He prompted the band to record again, and they started in 2019 at his home studio in Kauai, though things were inevitably delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ditto added:
“When we began, so much about Gossip was about running away—that was always in the music. We survived. We came from nothing, and we got the fuck out of there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just incredible.”
