Orville Peck Teases Duets Album 'Stampede' With Willie Nelson Collaboration

Orville Peck has announced a new album.
The alt-country musician recently took to Instagram to reveal that a collection of duets titled 'Stampede' is on the way, with the announcement following news that he has signed to Warner Records.
The singer-songwriter has also shared his first single for the label, a cover of Ned Sublette's 1981 tongue-in-cheek track Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other. He's made it a collaboration with country icon Willie Nelson, who previously covered Sublette's original in 2006. Check out the song's accompanying video below.
Peck will support the forthcoming project with a previously scheduled North American tour, which kicks off in May and runs through to October. Tickets are on sale now.
He released his latest album, 'Bronco', in 2022. It picked up five stars from us.
UPDATE 29/04: Orville Peck has confirmed the release date for 'Stampede: Vol. 1' is May 10. As well as Willie Nelson, the record features collaborations with Elton John, Noah Cyrus, and Nathaniel Rateliff, among others.
