Wicked Star Cynthia Erivo Releases New Single Replay

Cynthia Erivo has released a new solo single.
The Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award-winner, and three-time Academy Award nominee, co-wrote Replay with American singer and superstar songwriter Justin Tranter, who has worked with Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Chappell Roan, to name a few.
Erivo's vocal harmonies, along with whistling and finger nail rapping, were layered over eachother to create a unique and captivating backdrop for her flawless vocals, which deliver lyrics about insecurity, hero complex and overachieving.
Replay is the first taste of much more to come this year from Erivo, who has been busy on the press and awards circuit thanks to her performance of Elphaba in last year's blockbuster film adaption of Wicked, in which she co-starred alongside Ariana Grande. The pair will perform together at this weekend's Oscars ceremony, where Erivo is nominated for Actress In A Leading Role.
The British multi-hyphenate put out her debut studio album, 'Ch. 1 Vs. 1', in 2021.
