Billy Nomates Shares New Single Plans, Announces Autumn UK And European Tour

Billy Nomates has shared a new single, Plans.
Driven by a propulsive dance beat, the poppy track marks the second preview of the songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Tor Maries' third album, 'Metalhorse', due out on May 16 via Invada Records. About the song, Maries commented:
"As I get older, and I've just had this diagnosis, and the world's a fucking mess, the idea of being able to have fun or fall in love with someone is the ultimate rebellion, isn't it? It just feels totally radical these days. And it seems to happen less as life gets more complicated. Things are only going to get worse, there’s no point being blue sky about it, but there’s also fun to be found in this two minute whizz around that we all have."
The Bristol artist first shared details of the follow-up to 2023's 'Cacti' last month, when she also unveiled the record's first single, The Test.
Billy Nomates will support the LP with a series of in-store shows in May, and a newly announced UK and European tour in the autumn. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time tomorrow (April 17). She'll also play Dublin's In The Meadows festival in June and Edinburgh's Fringe By The Sea Festival in August.
