Panic Shack have announced their debut album.

Produced by Ali Chant, the long-awaited self-titled project will arrive on July 18 via Brace Yourself Records, expanding on their punk sound and incorporating vocal harmonies, synths and electronic influences.

To coincide with the announcement, the Cardiff band have shared the lead single and opening track, Girl Band Starter Pack, which serves up their signature punk energy with a power-pop twist through a propulsive bassline and sharp, slicing guitar riffs. In a statement, the band said:

"Girl Band Starter Pack was the title of our inspiration playlist on Spotify when we first started the band. It's had many deaths and rebirths but has been with us since the start, so it’s quite special to us. Not only because we’ve watched it morph into a certified banger (it was once named 'Banger Potential') but because it personifies our friendship and the electricity we feel when we’re together, whether that’s creating, playing or simply just grabbing a coffee … which as the song foretells, usually leads to a voddy."

Head below to view the track's video, which features drag queens Jolene Dover, Lasagne Sheets, CiCi and Bopa Rhys portraying the band on a rowdy day out in Cardiff.

"We wanted a music video that really heightened the vibe of the song, and thought who else could play us better than a bunch of sassy, sexy, stunnin Welsh drag queens?!," Panic Shack explained. "All hail, Jolene Dover, Bopa Rhys, CiCi and Lasagne Sheets. They played us better than we play ourselves and have inspired us to dial our energy up to 11. We let the Queens loose on the streets of Cardiff, went to all of our usual haunts around the city and laughed until our stomachs hurt all day."

Panic Shack previously teased LP with their March single, Gok Wan, their first new music in over two years. Prior to that, they put out their debut EP, 'Baby Shack', in 2022, and the single Meal Deal later that year.

Panic Shack will embark on their Don't Quit Your Day Job Tour across the UK in May. They'll also appear at Liverpool Sound City, Focus Wales in Wrexham, In It Together Festival in Margam, South Wales, 2000trees in Cheltenham, and Homestead Festival in Portishead over the coming months. Tickets are on sale now.
