Ocean Alley have announced their fifth studio album.

'Love Balloon' will arrive through Community Music on September 19, following up 2022's 'Low Altitude Living'. Created alongside producer Nick DiDia, it comprises 10 tracks that showcase a more stripped back approach to recording. Keyboardist and vocalist Lach Galbraith explained:

"The album explores the many layered dimensions of love - not just the cinematic kind where you're falling head over heels, but the full spectrum: joy, hurt, discomfort and disappointment. Let’s call it the river of love - whether it’s with a partner, a friend, or family, you never know when it’ll get deep, go shallow, or suddenly change course. It’s such a force that you have to just surrender to its current."

As a preview, the Australian six-piece have shared the record's title track, which is built around a Nile Rodgers-inspired guitar riff, with elements of disco fused with psych-rock. It follows the previously unveiled singles Left Of The Dealer and Tangerine.

The band, completed by vocalist Baden Donegal, guitarists Angus Goodwin and Mitch Galbraith, drummer Tom O’Brien, and bassist Nic Blom, will play US and European festivals this summer, including Boardmasters in the UK, alongside North American tour dates. They'll also take over London's Alexandra Palace on September 27 for their biggest headline show to date. Tickets are on sale now.

Ocean Alley Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
