Marmozets Return With First Single In Seven Years A Kiss From A Mother, Announce Winter UK Tour

Marmozets are back with their first single in seven years, A Kiss From A Mother.
Released via Nettwerk Music Group, the blistering rock track features vocalist Becca Bottomley (née Macintyre) delivering both melodic and gritty lines with snarling intensity over a rush of guitars, infused with mariachi‑style elements. She said:
"The message of the song is to make sure you listen, rather than just shoot straight back. Probably everyone can relate to the idea of not letting some advice go in one ear and out the other, let it actually immerse in you. As for my voice, that’s just my spirit coming out! I’m not playing a character; I’m giving it all that I’ve got."
The track marks the Yorkshire four-piece's first release since their 2018 album 'Knowing What You Know Now', which they supported with a tour and then went on hiatus.
In the years since then, Becca and guitarist Jack Bottomley married and became parents, before reuniting with guitarist Sam Macintyre, drummer Josh Macintyre, and producers Jonathan Gilmore and Andy Hawkins for their comeback.
As well as announcing the new record, Marmozets have scheduled their first live shows since 2018, with performances at intimate UK venues planned for December and January. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday (November 7).
