Rival Sons frontman Jay Buchanan has announced his debut solo album.
The vocalist will release 'Weapons Of Beauty' on February 6. The 10-track project sees Buchanan again teaming up with producer Dave Cobb, who has worked on all of Rival Sons' previous albums, most recently 2023's 'Lightbringer'.
Alongside the announcement, Buchanan has shared Caroline, a reflective track drawing on Americana, gospel and country influences. It comes with a video shot in an abandoned mine near an underground bunker in the Mojave Desert where he wrote the album. Buchanan said:
"I suppose that writing about unquenchable grief allows you a kind of permission to pay respect to those deep chasms in your life without wallowing in them. Putting it in a song lets you buy the ticket and take the ride and then move on."
