Poppy has laid out plans for her seventh studio album.
The two-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter will release 'Empty Hands' through Sumerian Records on January 23, following up last year's 'Negative Spaces'. Although the full tracklist has not yet been unveiled, we know it'll include last month's single Unravel along with the newly shared Bruised Sky, one of her heaviest, most metal-infused tracks yet.
Produced and co-written by former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish, the new song showcases Poppy shifting between guttural growls and soaring clean vocals over metalcore guitars. Head below to view the song's dark and dystopian video, directed by Orie McGinness.
The genre-blurring artist recently put her own spin on Wham!'s Last Christmas, released in October as an early festive Spotify Singles treat. Prior to that, she collaborated with Amy Lee of Evanescence and Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox for the single End Of You, and appeared on Babymetal's track From Me To U from their album 'Metal Forth'.
Fresh from supporting Linkin Park on the South American leg of their From Zero World Tour, Poppy will kick off her Constantly Nowhere Tour in January, hitting Australia before heading to Europe and the UK in the spring. Tickets are on sale now.
