Jimmy Eat World have announced some special UK shows for next summer. Jimmy Eat World tickets go on sale at 10am today.
The Arizona alt-rock and emo band will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their album 'Bleed American' by playing it in full, as well as some rarities and hits, at Live At The Piece Hall in Halifax on August 14, Cardiff Castle for the Depot Live series the next day, and London's Gunnersbury Park on August 16. The latter will be their biggest headline UK show to date.
Rise Against and The Get Up Kids will support in Halifax, Cardiff and London, with Jay Som joining the bill in Cardiff and London.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins said: “When we printed the last mix of Bleed American, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves. There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. Bleed American is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way.”
Jimmy Eat World are currently working on new music. Their latest release is the 'Something(s) Loud' vinyl EP that came out in mid-November, though their last album is 2019's 'Surviving'.
