Noah Kahan has released the title track of his upcoming fourth studio album.

Serving up the emotional folk-pop sound the two-time Grammy Award-winner has become known for, The Great Divide also serves as the lead single from the follow-up to his 2022 commercial breakthrough 'Stick Season', due out on April 24 via Island/Mercury Records.

The song's accompanying video will premiere on Sunday (February 1), during Mastercard's commercial break in the 2026 Grammy Awards broadcast on CBS.

Looking back on his rise from his Vermont roots, Kahan said: "The last five years have been the single most challenging, complicatedly beautiful, and life-altering of my career. I was somewhere I understood, and suddenly I was somewhere completely foreign. I was living in the opportunity I always wanted but felt disoriented and unsure of whether I deserved it. Writing for this album was a balancing act of trying to go back in time and move forward in the same moment. Songwriting has always been the way I reflect on my life, and I hope these songs show you a glimpse of what this journey has looked like."

'The Great Divide' reunites Kahan with 'Stick Season' producer Gabe Simon, known for his work with Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey, while also bringing in The National's Grammy-winning Aaron Dessner, whose previous credits include Taylor Swift and Bon Iver. It was recorded mostly at a quiet farm outside Nashville, Gold Pacific Studio in Nashville, and at Dessner's Long Pond Studio in New York. Check out a trailer for the record below.

Since 'Stick Season', Kahan has put out two expanded editions of the album, 2023's 'Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever' and 2024's 'Stick Season (Forever)', and a 2024 live album titled 'Live from Fenway Park'.

Kahan will top the bill of Tennessee's Bonnaroo festival in June. Tickets are on sale now.
