Thundercat Announces Fifth Album 'Distracted' With New Single I Did This To Myself Feat. Lil Yachty

Thundercat has announced his fifth studio album, his first in six years.
The follow-up to 2020's 'It Is What It Is' is titled 'Distracted' and will arrive on April 3 via Brainfeeder. It finds the two-time Grammy-winning musician teaming up with pop super-producer and new creative partner Greg Kurstin, known for his work with Adele, Paul McCartney, Sia, Beyoncé, Beck and more.
It also boasts co-production credits from Flying Lotus, Kenny Beats, and The Lemon Twigs, along with contributions from A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, Tame Impala, Channel Tres, and Lil Yachty, and a previously unreleased collaboration with the late Mac Miller.
Alongside the announcement, the bassist has shared the record's lead single, I Did This To Myself, a woozy, groove-led collaboration with Lil Yachty and Flying Lotus.
Ahead of its release, he'll embark on a previously scheduled UK and European tour, which includes stops in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Bristol and Dublin. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
