Thundercat Shares New Single She Knows Too Much Featuring Late Rapper Mac Miller

Thundercat has shared another track from his upcoming fifth album.
Produced with hitmaker Greg Kurstin, the soulful, funk-infused She Knows Too Much is carried by a laid-back bass-led groove and features the two-time Grammy-winning musician's close friend and collaborator, the late rapper Mac Miller, who died in 2018.
"I'm grateful to have spent my time on this planet with Mac," Thundercat said. "What an artist, what a spirit, what a joy to have experienced."
The restored track arrives alongside an animated video produced by Blinkink and directed by Léa Esmaili. The latter said:
"First of all, making this music video is a huge honor, as I grew up with these two artists and have admired their universe since I was a teenager. I wanted to create, within a single video, a fun animated moment by mixing styles either it’s 2D animation or 3D. Beyond that, I wanted to build a burlesque narrative around two friends who spend a completely crazy day together, tied to their friendship and to anime of this kind."
The song is the latest preview of 'Distracted', which is due out on April 3 via Brainfeeder Records and also features last month's I Did This To Myself with Lil Yachty and Flying Lotus, his 2025 single I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time and 2023's No More Lies with Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.
The long-awaited follow-up to 2020's 'It Is What It Is' features co-production from Kenny Beats and The Lemon Twigs, along with other guest spots from A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, and Channel Tres.
Thundercat will support the release with a previously announced UK and European tour in March and April, followed by dates in Australia, New Zealand and Japan throughout May. Tickets are on sale now.
