Kim Gordon has shared another track from her upcoming solo album.
Tackling the struggle for power between humans and robots, DIRTY TECH arrives with a Moni Haworth-directed video that reflects the themes of the song. Gordon said:
"I was kind of musing about, is my next boss going to be an AI chatbot? We’re the first ones whose lights are going to go out—not the tech billionaires. It’s so abstract that people can’t comprehend."
Built on hypnotic krautrock beats, the track serves as the second preview of her third solo record 'PLAY ME', due out on March 13 via Matador Records.
The Sonic Youth legend announced the album in January alongside the release of its lead single, NOT TODAY, and its accompanying short film by Rodarte fashion label founders and filmmakers Kate and Laura Mulleavy.
Gordon will embark on her Play Me Tour across Europe and the UK in the spring. Tickets are on sale now.
