The New Pornographers Tease 'The Former Site Of' With New Single Pure Sticker Shock

The New Pornographers have shared another track from their upcoming album.
Exploring personal feelings with frontman A.C. Newman singing about self-worth over upbeat synth-pop, Pure Sticker Shock marks the third single from 'The Former Site Of', their 10th studio LP, due out on March 27 via Merge Records. Newman explained:
"This song is not about a specific event, but it has felt very 'applicable' to me and this year of my life. It basically asks the question 'What has worth? Who is deciding?' Your market value is not always your value."
The album will also include the band's previous single Votive and their 2025 track Ballad Of The Last Payphone.
The group — Newman, Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins, Todd Fancey and Josh Wells — will support the record with a previously announced US tour in the spring, joined by Will Sheff of Okkervil River. Tickets are on sale now.
