Foo Fighters Announce New Album 'Your Favorite Toy', Share Title Track

After some teasing, Foo Fighters have officially announced their new album.
The renowned American rockers — Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin — will put 'Your Favorite Toy' out on April 24 via Roswell Records/Columbia Records.
It was recorded at home, co-produced by the band with Oliver Roman, who also engineered it, and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent. The 10-track release will include their previously shared single Asking For A Friend, but not last summer's Today's Song.
As another preview, they've shared the album's title track, which finds them invigorated thanks to sonic experimentation that's led to new avenues of rock and new levels of fuzz they've not previously explored. Vocalist-guitarist frontman Grohl said:
"'Your Favorite Toy' really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”
Foo Fighters will support the follow-up to 2023's 'But Here We Are' with the Take Cover Tour, which heads to Europe and the UK in June and July, across North America in August and September, with the recently announced Australian and New Zealand leg set for November 2026 and January 2027.
Tickets for the new Australian and New Zealand shows go on general sale at 12pm local time on February 25, except for the Melbourne and Perth concerts, which go on sale at 11am local time. All other dates are on sale now.
