Sombr will perform at the upcoming BRIT Awards in Manchester.
The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter from New York will take to the stage at the Co-op Live arena on February 28, and is in the running for International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for his single Undressed. He said:
“I'm so honoured to be performing at the iconic BRIT Awards. I am so thankful to everyone who has supported me this past year. I love the UK and all the British people, it's my second home!”
He joins an already stacked performer line-up featuring Rosalía, Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, Wolf Alice and Mark Ronson, with the latter recently named the winner of the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI (the singing voices of HUNTR/X from Netflix’s Kpop Demon Hunters) will also record a special performance in front of fans outside of Co-op Live ahead of the ceremony.
Earlier in February, Noel Gallagher was announced as this year’s BRITs Songwriter Of The Year, while Jacob Alon picked up the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award the month before, when this year’s nominations were announced.
This year will be the first time the BRIT Awards ceremony will be held outside London, though Jack Whitehall will return as host. It will be broadcast exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
