Killer Mike Shares Lena Byrd Miles Collaboration Spying Eyes (Smiling Faces)

Killer Mike has collaborated with gospel singer Lena Byrd Miles on a new track.
Spying Eyes (Smiling Faces) marks a notable switch in style, with the Grammy-winning Atlanta rapper easing back from his usual high-energy politically-charged bars to deliver a more reflective flow over soulful melodies, gospel-tinged piano and Byrd Miles' soaring vocals.
Written with Barrett Strong, Norman Whitfield, Vidal Garcia, Cosmo Hickox, Robert Mandell and Max Perry, the track is one of several high-profile contributions to the upcoming soundtrack to The Gray House, Amazon Prime's limited Civil War series.
The soundtrack also includes previously unveiled songs by Willie Nelson (Heart Of America) and The War And Treaty (If This Day), as well as contributions from Lainey Wilson, Jon Bon Jovi, Yolanda Adams, Shania Twain, Adrienne Warren, Scott Stapp, Larkin Poe and more. Directed by Roland Joffé and executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, The Gray House tells the true story of a group of women who ran an Underground Railroad network that later became a Union spy ring during the Civil War. It'll premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 26, with the soundtrack album dropping the same day.
The Run The Jewels rapper, real name Michael Render, released the album 'Songs For Sinners and Saints' under the moniker Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival (his gospel group) in 2024. He called it an epilogue to his 2023 album, 'Michael'.
Last year, he collaborated with T.I. on Lecrae's track Headphones, and Lukah and Statik Selektah on South Still Speaking.
