Lykke Li has shared another single from her sixth studio album.
A deep reflection on dealing with difficult emotions, the haunting Knife In The Heart is built on mournful EBow sounds and eerie orchestration. Lykke Li said:
"This is my brutalist nursery rhyme anthem — the emo girl in me, fully unleashed. I had my son and his friend sing the choruses because the juxtaposition of their voices against the EBow just created such a powerful sonic landscape, somewhere I've never really been before. A world totally collapsing in front of us and all we really have left is our humanity. My dream is to hear a whole football stadium chanting: ‘This Life This Life is a Knife in the Heart.’ To me, a pretty accurate description of what it feels like to be alive right now."
The track marks the second preview of 'THE AFTERPARTY', which the Swedish art-pop creative introduced last month, confirming its May 8 release and sharing its first single, Lucky Again.
Lykke Li will support the album with live dates in spring and summer, including sets at Coachella and a performance at Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre in April, followed by shows in South America and Europe.
She'll also support Wolf Alice at their Finsbury Park, London show in July, and Robyn in Mexico City in September as part of her Sexistential Tour. Tickets are on sale now.
Lykke Li Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
Tue April 14 2026 - LOS ANGELES California - Fonda Theatre (USA)
