Lykke Li is a Swedish indie rock and ‘dream pop’ singer-songwriter hailing from Ystad, Skåne. Born in 1986, she has become one of the country’s most popular musicians, known for her soprano vocal range and multi-instrumental backing tracks.
Spending a lot of her live travelling, Li would hit New York for three months at the age of 19, a move which would prove massively influential on the music career that was about to Li was about to embark on; she would return two years later to record her first collection.
Her earlier demos saw Li hailed as one of the best new up and comers, and soon earned her a deal with LL to release debut album ‘Youth Novels’ in 2008, which hit #3 in her homecountry and later shifted over 60,000 copies Stateside.
Live, Lykke Li uses a relatively simple set up but by no means does she put on a plain show - she’s been getting equally as rave reviews for her gigs as for her music, and her tours and concerts have increased in size with each new LP.
As of 2014, she’s put out two more LPs, including 2011’s ‘Wounded Rhymes’ and the more recent ‘I Never Learned’, which both hit #2 at home and Top 40 in the UK and US. Her debut full length, 'so sad so sexy', dropped in June 2018.
Lykke Li has announced a London show as part of new world tour plans supporting the record. Catch her live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.

Being permanently po-faced and famous is a devil’s pact. Whether you’re penning hits (Kanye West), winning trophies (José Mourinho) or writing economic policy (Gordon Brown), tolerance will turn to contempt once that success begins to falter.
