Grandmas House have announced their long-awaited debut album.
The Bristol indie-punk quartet will release 'Baby You're A Winner' through Brace Yourself Records on August 21 and will include their April single, DOG.
Featuring 12 tracks recorded with producer Ali Chant, known for his work with PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius and Yard Act, the album shows the evolution of the band's sound, with stronger vocals, harmonies and more layered arrangements than their previous EPs, 2021's 'Grandmas House', 2023's 'Who Am I' and 2025's 'Anything For You'. They said:
"We wrote this album about the existential crisis of going through life. It’s about love and infatuation but also about grief and loneliness. It’s emotional, powerful, sad and a good time all at once."
Alongside the news, the band have released the record's title track, a snappy rock offering that delivers a bouncing bassline, driving guitars and Yasmin Berndt's raspy vocals about believing in the people you love. The band explained:
"Baby You’re A Winner is a rock n roll love anthem about seeing the beauty in your loved ones when they can’t. It’s about the frustration of your friends or partner not being able to see themselves for the winner they are - an ode to bring you up when you’re feeling down."

Refreshed from a packed spring, including a sold-out European tour and recent UK festival dates at The Great Escape, Dot To Dot and Bearded Theory, Grandmas House — completed by drummer Poppy Dodgson, bassist Zoë Zinsmeister and guitarist Polly Jessett — will appear at a handful of UK and European festivals in July, including 2000trees festival in Cheltenham and Sziget Festival in Budapest.
A run of in-store dates and a headline UK and European tour will be announced soon.
