Interpol Announce First Album In Four Years 'This Mirror Weighs A Ton'

Interpol have announced their first album in four years.
'This Mirror Weighs A Ton', the follow-up to 2022's 'The Other Side Of Make-Believe', will arrive on August 28 as their first release for Partisan Records.
Produced by Andrew Wyatt, whose credits include ROSALÍA and Charli XCX, and mixed by David Fridmann, the album was recorded at Wyatt's Lower East Side studio in Manhattan and marks the New York band's first full-length record made in their hometown in over a decade.
Alongside the announcement, the band have released the record's first two songs, the dreamy, slow-burning title track and the more urgent, rock-orientated See Out Loud, which features dual lead vocals from Paul Banks and guitarist Daniel Kessler.
Interpol will hit the road later this summer for a North American tour spanning August to October, featuring support from Youth Lagoon, Loathe, julie and DIIV on select dates. They'll also play Outbreak Festival in London on August 23 and support Sombr at Vancouver's Rogers Arena on September 29, before a run of co-headline UK and European dates with Bloc Party in November and December. Tickets are on sale now.
Since their last album, Interpol released the live record 'Live At Third Man Records' and a 20th anniversary edition of their album 'Antics', both in 2024. They also remixed the Idles track Rabbit Run and worked with several artists on their Interpolations series, a collaborative project reworking songs from 'The Other Side Of Make-Believe'.
