Boy Harsher Announce Third Studio Album 'Get Mean', Share New Single Hard Beat

Boy Harsher will return with their third studio album later this summer.
The follow-up to 2019's 'Careful' is titled 'Get Mean' and will include the Massachusetts duo's recent single Jeans. It'll arrive on September 18 via Atlantic Records and explores themes of redemption, reflecting on grief and heartbreak, as well as the painful journey through loss and finding a way to heal and start again.
Alongside the announcement, Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller have shared a driving new single titled Hard Beat, which leans into their signature blend of darkwave and post-punk. Head below to watch the track's video, directed by Boy Harsher with cinematographer Owen Smith-Clark.
The duo will support the LP with The Heartbreak Tour, with a North American leg running from September 25 to November 5, followed by a European run that includes UK shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Bristol between November 29 and December 3. Tickets are on sale now.
The pair are also currently working on their debut feature film, The Lonely Woman, starring Chloë Sevigny, FKA Twigs and Sturgill Simpson.
Since 'Careful', Boy Harsher have also released the 'Machina' EP in 2024, 'The Runner (Original Soundtrack)' in 2022, and in 2019 both 'Country Girl Uncut', featuring the original 2017 'Country Girl' EP plus four previously unreleased tracks, and 'Careful Remixes, etc'.
