The Avalanches Share John Glacier And Khadija Al Hanafi Collaboration Far Away

The Avalanches have shared a fifth preview of their upcoming album.
Blending their signature sample-heavy sound with warm melodies, the dreamy Far Away is a collaboration with British rapper and producer John Glacier and Tunisian producer Khadija Al Hanafi.
The song arrives alongside a video filmed in Tokyo and Minakami last December on a 2001 Sony Handycam, capturing the Australian electronic group's pre-production road trip and recording sessions in now-obsolete MiniDV PAL format. They said:
"We spent a beautiful London summer working on a number of tracks with John, this track in particular captures that blissed out lysergic feeling of dusty evening light, soaking up music with friends as the light filters through the trees and feeling as if we're living in a shared dream."
It follows earlier singles Can’t Get Over Losing You featuring Portraits of Tracy, Blue Shadows with Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, Together with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss, and their Jamie xx collaboration Every Single Weekend in previewing 'No Bad Memories', due out on October 16.
Last week, the group revealed the 31-song tracklist, including team-ups with Panda Bear, Rivers Cuomo, Mike Patton, Barry Can’t Swim, Carly Simon, Haruomi Hosono, Ryoji Ikeda, Haley Joel Osment and more, alongside an album trailer starring Osment.
The trio — Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi and Andy Szekeres — will play two shows at London's Roundhouse in November, the first as part of Pitchfork Music Festival and the second as a headline show billed as The Avalanches & Friends.
They'll also perform at New York's Terminal 5 next month, followed by DJ sets at Simple Things festival in Bristol and The Warehouse Project in Manchester, The Dare's Freakquencies party in France, Poplar and C2C in Italy, and Les Nuits Weekender in Belgium. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
