Del Amitri founding members Justin Currie and Iain Harvie have announced a run of In Conversation UK shows for next spring.
The tour, billed as Del Amitri – 45 Years Of Modest Failure: An Evening of Conversation with Justin Currie & Iain Harvie, will visit over 40 intimate venues between March 20 and June 20 for unscripted stories, humour and anecdotes. Currie said:
"Having ventured into book tour world last year, I was amazed by how enjoyable and heartwarming an evening of conversation with Del Amitri’s audience could be.
"After years of rubbish stage patter, it felt like a release to be able to open up a little and have time to engage directly with people, if not breaking the fourth wall, then certainly installing a service hatch.
"We look forward to seeing where the questions and conversations take us each night, no subject matter out of bounds except for what the name means."
Best known for hits such as Always The Last to Know and Nothing Ever Happens, the pair will also take part in a live Q&A with the audience.
The full line-up of the Glasgow band will embark on their Past To Present Tour: Four Decades Of Their Greatest Music this autumn. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
They put out their most recent studio album, 'Fatal Mistakes', in 2021, followed by 'Fatal Mistakes: Outtakes & B-Sides' in 2022.
