James Tour & Tickets

Famous for making students hilariously sit down on dancefloors across the country during the 90s, James are known for such hits as ‘She’s a Star’, ‘Come Home’ and ‘Laid’. Oh, and ‘Sit Down’. Their new tour ‘The Mirrorball Tour’ will be hitting venues near you next April. Click Here to Compare & Buy James Tickets

A nicely sold-out tour in 2008 only served to encourage the Madchester group(they were originally signed by Tony Wilson after playing at the famous Hacienda) and when their Album ‘Hey Ma’ got into the top 10, that was it, James were back and loving it. Their careers has included 10 studio albums, twenty UK Top 40 singles,12 million albums sold and worldwide touring success. Not bad.

Another thing that has marked James out is an odd trend with their support bands. See if you’ve heard of any of these: Nirvana, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Corrs, Sterophonics, Coldplay, Turin Breaks... Yep, James’ support bands appear to keep going onto greater success than James themselves. A lesser group of individuals would be bitter.

To see James live:

Apr 05 - Edinburgh Corn Exchange
Apr 06 - Newcastle O2 Academy
Apr 08 - Sheffield O2 Academy
Apr 09 - Preston Guildhall
Apr 10 - Cambridge Corn Exchange
Apr 12 - Southend Cliffs Pavilion

James - Living In Extraordinary Times (Album Review)
Wed 08 Aug 2018
Listening to 'Living In Extraordinary Times', the thought occurs that indie-pop stalwarts James aren’t dissimilar to a shark. Such is the Manchester octet’s devotion to exploring fresh textures, with an insatiable forward momentum, that if they stop moving it’s likely they’ll immediately shuffle off to the great gig in the sky. Fortunately, if the band’s most recent output - and especially this effort - is anything to by, they won’t be playing chess with the Grim Reaper any time soon.

Fri 10 May 2019
Three albums in and Matthew and the Atlas seem to be in a position to capitalise on all aspects of their previous work. Matt Hegarty’s adventure started with some folky EPs, followed by the synth-based 2014 debut album ‘Other Rivers’. ‘Temple’ then retreated to a more stripped down approach, but with ‘Morning Dancer’ we’re treated to a more eclectic collection.
