Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has told the BBC that boredom during their recent hiatus has been instrumental in their return to the studio. Wilson said “I haven’t felt this creative since we first started”.
Following the band’s break after their Leeds festival performance last summer, the Kaiser Chiefs are now back recording their follow up to their 2008 third album ‘Off With Their Heads’. Wilson added “We’re playing around at the moment”
“I’m sending him (Hodgson) words and lyrics in the mail. He’s sending me CDs…we’re actually utilising the Royal Mail quite a lot – it’s quite nice because you find you’re a little bit less embarrassed about what you send each other”.
Though he stresses the fans shouldn’t expect anything anytime soon from the Leeds band.
