Frightened Rabbit Announce Winter UK Tour & Tickets

Scottish indie-folk band Frightened Rabbit have scheduled a string of dates for UK shows to take place in November and December later this year.

Forming in 2003, hailing from Selkirk in the Borders of Scotland, Frightened Rabbit are a five-piece band who returned earlier this year with their third studio album ‘The Winter Of Mixed Drinks’. Although having only recently stepped into the music spotlight, Frightened Rabbit has spent many quieter years committed to honing their sound.

With the band’s previous 2008 album ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’ regarded as a sensational album, the music contained consisted of singer Scott Hutchison delving deep into his soul, unleashing a lot of personal demons.

This time around the more euphoric new album is a wonderful return from the band swapping personal pain for something slightly more thoughtful. Opting for some shambling lo-fi production, the album stands out with some gentle piano dominated opening bars building up to some vicious 3-minute slices of frenzied indie-punk rock.

Frightened Rabbit hit the road in late November, kicking-off the tour in Bristol on November 20th. The extensive tour then proceeds to roll through venues in Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Leeds, Wolverhampton and London before a homecoming gig in native Scotland's Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom on December 3rd.

Frightened Rabbit will play the following UK dates:

November 2010

10th Anson Rooms, Bristol
21st Academy 2, Manchester
22nd Northumbria University Stage 2, Newcastle
25th Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
29th The Cockpit, Leeds
30th The Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton

December 2010

1st O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
3rd Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow

Tickets are on sale from 9am on Monday 21st June.
