Death From Above are a Canadian dance punk outfit hailing from Toronto, Ontario. Formed in 2001, the band consists of Sebastien Grainger on lead vocals and drums alongside bassist/synth-player Jesse F. Keeler. For the majority of their career, they were known as Death From Above 1979, due to a dispute with DFA Records. However, in 2017, they reverted back to their original moniker.
In their original five-year run, the band would release just one studio album but find fans across the world. After splitting in 2006, the band would finally return in 2011, with new record, The Physical World, hitting shelves in September 2014. Having promoted it with headline gigs in October, Death From Above 1979 returned to the UK for more shows in February 2015.
In September 2017, Death From Above returned with their latest record, 'Outrage! Is Now', and supported it with a tour of the US and Canada in fall/winter.
Next up, they're touring in support of the reissue of their debut EP, 'Heads Up' through late 2018 - get your tickets by checking the dates and links below!

No, it’s not a typo. The 1979 is on the scrapheap and Jesse F. Keeler and Sebastien Grainger are sticking with the name Death From Above. Whether James Murphy and DFA Records have anything else to say on the matter is a question for another day, because first we have ‘Outrage. Is Now’ to deal with.
