Ella Henderson is an English singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Tetney. Born in 1996, she is best known as a finalist from the ninth series of The X Factor, finishing sixth overall - though she was originally tipped to be the winner.
Singing from the young age of three, and a self-taught pianist, Henderson would attend the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire in her teens, having won a scholarship there.
Entering The X Factor in 2012, Henderson set herself a path to stardom, despite not taking pole position. She was rewarded with a Syco Music contract and soon found herself topping the UK charts with her debut single, Ghost, in summer 2014.
Her first full-length record, Chapter One, was out by October 2014, and climbed straight to #1 in the UK, since earning a platinum certification. Having been snapped up by Take That as their main support act for their mammoth 38-date UK tour in spring/summer 2015, Henderson then embarks on her first ever headline UK tour in the autumn. I went to 2 tour dates for Ella's first headline tour The Chapter One Tour. It was a phenomenal concert. Ella's voice sounded flawless, and the band and set up of the stage worked out very well! Her backing signers each got a little solo and their voice were very good also.
The support act JP Cooper was very good, normally with support acts I never want to see them because I am waiting for the main act but JP Cooper was a great support act! The merchandise was good quality and a good price. Next time Ella goes on tour I will definitely buy a ticket and I can't wait! Would recommend! Me and my friend had such a good night.
Phenomenal first concert (preview?) at Rhyl Pavilion. Ella and her band and backing singers were brilliant. Unfortunately the strobe lighting was too bright for us in the centre of the dress circle, often preventing us from seeing Ella. We were annoyed by some audience members chatting while the support act J P Cooper was performing - they should have stayed in the bar if they didn't want to hear him.
