John Mellencamp is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Seymour, Indiana. Born in 1951, he is best recognised as a rock and roll musician, though he's also an accomplished actor and painter, too.
Originally starting his life in music playing in bands in his teens, but eventually went on to pursue a solo career as his full-time job after graduating from university, and hasn't looked back since.
Today one of the most decorated and best selling artists of today, Mellencamp - who has shifted over 40million records worldwide - released his debut album, 'Chestnut Street Incident', in 1976, but it was his 1982 effort 'American Fool' that saw him topping the US charts first, going on to become 5x platinum - the first of many multi-platinum discs he would receive over the years.
Best recognised for tracks like Hurts So Good, R.O.C.K in the USA, Cherry Bomb, Crumblin' Down, and Jack & Diane amongst others, John Mellencamp is still doing his thing today, recently releasing 'Sad Clowns & Hillbillies' in 2017.
Mellencamp is set to tour North America from winter to spring 2019. Check below to search for tickets through Stereoboard.

For obvious reasons, the US is currently enduring one of the most turbulent periods in its history. So the prospect of plainspoken singer-songwriter John Mellencamp returning with a passionate, scathing diatribe about the current state of his nation was an exciting one. Ever the contrarian, though, ‘Sad Clowns & Hillbillies’ is instead a surprisingly uplifting comeback that’s less protest piece and more existential comfort blanket.
