Jurassic 5 are an American hip-hop group hailing from Los Angeles, California. Formed back in 1993 from the ashes of rap groups Rebels of Rhythm and Unity Committee, they are one of hip-hop’s most iconic groups, and enjoyed commercial success in the late 90s and early 00s before splitting in 2007.

With their early material earning them a record deal with Interscope Records, they went on to release their self-titled debut album in 1998. Going on to put out a total of four records, Jurassic 5 soon found critical and commercial success, especially thanks to their final two albums ‘Power in Numbers’ and ‘Feedback’, which- both reached #15 in the US.

This fame earned them shows across the world, and they became a sought after name for promoters - as well as television and film directors. They are considered one of their genre’s popular acts and were hailed as some of best performers too.

After ‘creative differences' broke the group up in 2007, they would later return for performances in 2013 for Coachella Festival and a tour. This on-going venture also saw them hitting the UK for shows in summer 2014.
