Lucinda Williams is an American Americana singer-songwriter from Lake Charles, Louisiana. Starting her career in 1978, she released her debut album, ‘Ramblin'’, the following year, but it wasn’t until her 1989 self-titled album, that she started to gain notoriety.
‘Car Wheels on a Gravel Road’, released in 1998, gave her the greatest success, and led to her winning a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. Since then many of her albums have been critical and commercial successes, her latest being ‘The Ghosts of Highway 20’, which was released in February 2016, followed by 2017's re-expanded version of 'This Sweet Old World'.
Lucinda Williams celebrates 20 years since 'Car Wheels on a Gravel Road' with a North American tour in November 2019, after headlining Cambridge Folk Festival in the summer. Catch her live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.
