Patrick Wolf is an electronic pop/baroque pop English singer, songwriter and musician from London,
He started his music career in 2002, releasing his debut album, ‘Lycanthropy’ in 2003, followed by his second album, ‘Wind in the Wires’ in 2005. He signed to Loog in 2005, and released his third album, ‘The Magic Position’, in 2007, which he supported with a concert tour in North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia, culminating in two sold out nights at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. His fourth album, ‘The Bachelor’ was released in 2009, followed by ‘Lupercalia’, in 2009, and his last release ‘Sundark and Riverlight’, in 2012, which reached #37 in the UK Albums Chart.
Patrick Wolf recently received The College Historical Society of Trinity College Dublin’s Burke Medal for Outstanding Contribution to Discourse through the Arts. The society has previously awarded their highest honour- the Burke Medal- to artists such as WB Yeats, Salman Rushdie, Patti Smith, Tracey Emin, Steven Moffat, Sinéad O'Connor, Hilary Mantel and Ralph Fiennes.
Patrick Wolf has announced two shows in December in celebration of winning the Burke Medal Award. These will be Patrick’s only live performances for 2017 whilst he works on his 7th studio album and first book of original Poetry The Ghost Region, details released soon.
