Perry Farrell is a singer-songwriter and musician from New York, best known for his role as the front man for the alternative rock band Jane's Addiction.
Jane's Addiction made its name in mid-1980s LA by building up a rabid fan base with legendary, high-energy shows in small LA rock clubs. Jane's Addiction, prior to their first break-up, released three albums 'Jane's Addiction', 'Nothing's Shocking' and 'Ritual de lo Habitual' between 1985 and 1991. They later put out a series of box sets and compilations of their unreleased material and greatest hits. He also created the touring festival Lollapalooza as a farewell tour for Jane's Addiction in 1991, which has since evolved into an annual destination festival. Farrell has also led the alternative rock groups Psi Com, Porno for Pyros and Satellite Party. He is the only person who has performed at all twelve Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festivals to date As a solo artist, Farrell released 'Rev' in 1999 and 'Song Yet To Be Sung' in 2001. Perry Farrell will release his first solo material in 18 years in summer 2019, with the album 'Kind Heaven' due on June 7. He'll accompany the record with UK tour dates.
