Roots Manuva, real name Rodney Smith, is an English alternative hip hop, rapper, songwriter and musician based in Stockwell.
Starting his music career in 1994, he has released nine albums across his career, including his debut album, ‘Brand New Second Hand’, in 1999, ‘Awfully Deep’, released in 2005, which reached #24 in the UK Albums Chart and ‘Slime & Reason’, which hit #22. His latest album, 'Bleeds', was released in 2015. Roots Manuva has announced UK shows for autumn, as well as a summer appearance at Bestival.
