St. Lucia is synthpop and electronic indie musician, Jean-Philip Grobler, from Johannesburg, South Africa, and is now based in Brooklyn, New York.
Starting his career in 2012, when he signed to Neon Gold Records, and released his debut album, ‘When the Night’, in 2013. He has worked as a producer, including HAERTS debut album, and also remixes tracks for the likes of Passion Pit, Foster The People, and Charli XCX. St. Lucia supported Two Door Cinema Club on their 2013 tour. When performing live, Grobler performs with a band, which has included Nick Brown, Ross Clark, Nicky Paul and Patricia Beranek. St Lucia released a second album, ‘Matter’, on January 29, 2016 and have announced a show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute, alongside their London show in May.
