Teddy Thompson, is a British folk-rock musician, from London.
The son of folk-rock musicians Richard and Linda Thompsons, and the brother of singer Kamila Thompson. He first appeared on some of his father's releases, including, ‘You? Me? Us? in 1996, Mock Tudor in 1999, as appearing on the track Persuasion, a duet, which appeared on the compilation, ‘Action Packed’ in 1999.
He released his self-titled debut album in 2000 on Virgin, which was followed by ‘Separate Ways’, in 2005 on Verve/Forecast, and ‘Upfront & Down Low’, in 2007, which featured covers of classic country songs. Thompson’s fourth album ‘A Piece of What You Need’ was released in 2008, and debuted at number 10 in the UK Album Chart, which was followed by ‘Bella’ in 2011, on Decca/Verve/Forecast. He also appears on ‘Family’ the 2014 release, which featured various members of the Thompson family.
