The Migrant, (a.k.a Bjarke Bendtsen) is a Danish experimental folk pop singer/songwriter from Copenhagen.
In 2008, he went on the road, playing with different people he met on the way, and spent most of 2009 travelling across the USA. He released his debut album, ‘Travels in Lowland’, in 2010, and toured solo in Europe, but with a full band in the USA, and Denmark. He has since released three other albums, 2011’s ‘Amerika’, ‘Beads’ in 2013, and ‘Flood’ in 2015. He has supported Kurt Vile, Villagers, Dry The River and Wild Child, as well as playing SXSW and CMJ festivals. He’s set to play a run of UK shows in October 2015.
