Tomoyasu Hotei is a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician whose one of Japan’s most popular and highly-praised artists of all time. Active from as far back as 1979, he found fame performing with band Boøwy - one of Japan’s most popular rock bands - and stayed with them until their split in 1988.
After parting ways with the band, he embarked on a solo career, and went on to release 13 studio albums - with only one charting outside of the Top 20 in Japan. In 2003, he was ranked #70 in HMV Japan’s most important Japanese acts list, and in 2011 was ranked as Japan’s second best guitarist.
He’s now moved to London to take his career to an international level, and has set up two London gigs - one in July and one in October - for 2015. Find your tickets below!
