Walter Trout is an American blues-rock singer-songwriter and musician from Ocean City, New Jersey. Beginning his career in 1969, Trout started out performing alongside stars like Percy Mayfield and Deacon Jones, before moving onto bands like Canned Heat and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers.
In 1990, he decided it was time he had his own band, and formed the Walter Trout Band. He released his debut album ‘Life in the Jungle’ the same year and went on to release a further eight albums with the band. He then formed Walter Trout and the Free Radicals, releasing two studio albums and two live releases and then more recently, Walter Trout and the Radicals, releasing a further five albums. He started releasing solo albums in 2008, with ‘The Outsider’, putting out a further seven releases in the following years. He released his latest album, ’We’re All In This Together’, in August 2017, which featured John Mayall, Joe Bonamassa, Randy Bachman, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Sonny Landreth, & Warren Haynes.
In 2018, Walter Trout played festival slots at the Rory Gallagher International Festival in Ireland and Leicester Rhythm and Rock Blues Festival.
