Toyah - aka Toyah Willcox - is an English punk rock and new wave singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Kings Heath, Birmingham. Born in 1958, she’s also an accomplished actress and television personality, though music has always been her forte: she’s notched up a fifteen-strong collection of albums over the years, two of which have reached Top 10.
Perhaps most popular in the early 80’s, which saw the release of her smash-hit albums ‘Anthem’ and ‘The Changeling’, Toyah became a household name in the UK and played countless gigs over her now 30+ year long career. Since 2007, she has performed alongside R.E.M drummer Bill Rieflin and Chris Wong in the band Toyah and The Humans - catch them live at one of two UK gigs this April!
